Analysis

Subsonic Design carries out various types of acoustic and noise measurements. These detailed surveys allow our most demanding clients the possibility of having the interiors of their sites surveyed rigorously with a view to the future development of a project by our staff. These measurements are of two types: acoustic volumetric measurements and noise measurements.

The analysis of the room is a very important tool for acoustic volumetric study. In reality, this is something which must be done since it is the only way of accurately determining the real acoustic situation of the room. The measurements determine the reverberation/frequency time, acoustic pressure, signal/noise relationship, RASTI (Rapid Speech Transmission Index), etc. These values are recorded for later interpretation and the preparation of solutions.

These measurements are made according to the following standards:

  • - ISO3382 (room acoustics)

  • - IEC 60268-16 (speech intelligibility)

For making acoustic analyses Subsonic Design uses the most accurate measurement systems available. Our mobile analysis units are composed of:

  • - PC with suitable software;

  • - USB interface microphone 24 bit / 96 KHz;

  • - "Pyrite" acoustics engineering;

  • - "Earthworks M30" analysis microphones;

  • - "Cirrus" system calibrator and signal generator;

  • - Pistol for firing blanks plus all necessary accessories;

Using this reliable system our experienced technical staff will correctly analyze your space. This sector allows our company to make a professional detailed report of the interior of client's room. Based on the information obtained our design sector then develops a suitable solution.

The purpose of the noise measurement is to determine discomfort levels caused by air-borne noise or by structural physical propagation. Subsonic determines these values with precision and prepares explanatory reports, proposing solutions fitting legal requirements.
